On the second floor is the primary bedroom with a step-out balcony, walk-in closet, and bath with shower, jacuzzi tub, and a washer and dryer, as well as a second bedroom with bath. The walkout basement level has an extra refrigerator, additional washer and dryer, and a carpeted bonus room with windows, water views, and door to the garden. Across the patio from the main house is a charming two-room seasonal guest cottage with a full bed and two twin beds, full bath, and its own deck with stunning water views.
Beautiful three-season flower gardens wrap around the house and lawns, providing a welcome sense of privacy— despite being within easy walking distance to town. This location offers so many ways to experience all that Castine has to offer— enjoy spectacular views of islands to the south and a dynamic working waterfront to the east; walk into town to visit the local shops, galleries, and restaurants; rent a kayak or paddle board (which can be delivered to the cottage) to paddle around the harbor; or explore Castine’s colonial and maritime heritage at the Wilson Museum, the Castine Historical Society, and the Maine Maritime Academy.
